經過一番掙扎思考以後,他決定不去偷別人的衣服,就以堅決的語氣回答他的上司:「我不去!」他的上司很驚訝他竟敢不服從命令,立刻問他說:「你為什麼不去?」可是這位新兵也沒有回答什麼,只是用很堅決的表情看著他的長官,顯示他不去偷別人東西的決心,這時候那位上尉知道新兵的意願已定,也就不再說什麼。
