Ibelieveinpeople,insheer,unadulteratedhumanity.Ibelieveinlisteningtowhatpeoplehavetosay,inhelpingthemtoachievethethingswhichtheywantandthethingswhichtheyneed.Naturally,therearepeoplewhobehavelikebeasts,whokill,whocheat,wholieandwhodestroy.Butwithoutabeliefinmanandafaithinhispossibilitiesforthefuture,therecanbenohopeforthefuture,butonlybitternessthatthepasthasgone.Ibelievewemust,eachofus,makeaphilosophybywhichwecanlive.Therearepeoplewhomakeaphilosophyoutofbelievinginnothing.Theysaythereisnotruth,thatgoodnessissimplyclevernessindisguisingyourownselfishness.Theysaythatlifeissimplytheshortgapinbetweenanunpleasantbirthandaninevitabledeath.Thereareotherswhosaythatmanisbornintoevilandsinfulnessandthatlifeisaprocessofpurificationthroughsufferingandthatdeathistherewardforhavingsuffered.Thereareotherswhosaythatmanisakindofmachinewhichoperatesaccordingtocertainlaws,andthatifyoucanlearnthelawsandseizethepowertomanipulatethemachine,youcanmakemanbehaveautomaticallytoservewhateverendsyouhaveinmind.
Ibelievethesephilosophiesarefalse.Themostimportantthinginlifeisthewayitislived,andthereisnosuchthingasanabstracthappiness,anabstractgoodnessormorality,oranabstractanything,exceptintermsofthepersonwhobelievesandwhoacts.Thereisonlythesinglehumanbeingwholivesandwho,througheverymomentofhisownpersonallivingexperience,isbeinghappyorunhappy,nobleorbase,wiseorunwise,orsimplyexisting.
Thequestionis:Howcantheseindividualmomentsofhumanexperiencebefilledwiththerichnessofaphilosophywhichcansustaintheindividualinhisownlife?Unlesswegivepartofourselvesaway,unlesswecanlivewithotherpeopleandunderstandthemandhelpthem,wearemissingthemostessentialpartofourownhumanlives.Thefactthatthenativeendowmentoftheyoungmindisoneofliberalismandconfidenceinthepowersofmanforgoodisthebasisofmyphilosophy.Andifonlymancanbegivenafreechancetousehispowers,thisphilosophywillresultinaboundlessflowofvitalenergyandawillingnesstotrynewthings,combinedwithafaithinthefuture.
Thereareasmanyroadstotheattainmentofwisdomandgoodnessastherearepeoplewhoundertaketowalkthem.Thereareasmanysolidtruthsonwhichwecanstandastherearepeoplewhocansearchthemoutandwhowillstandonthem.Thereareasmanyideasandidealsastherearemenofgoodwillwhowillholdthemintheirmindsandactthemintheirlives.
我們所生活的這個時代，是人類歷史上思想與價值充滿革命性變化的一個時代。在這樣的時代背景中，我們必須從自身尋找生活所需的思想、信仰與理想。除非我們找到這些理想，並恪守它們，否則當面臨世人都會遇到的危險時，我們根本無力抗爭。
我信仰人類，信仰透明、純粹的人性。傾聽人們的心聲，幫助他們達成所願，得到需要的東西，這也是我的信仰。當然，有些人類的行為如同禽獸一般，他們殺戮、欺詐、哄騙、破壞。但是，如果不相信人類，不相信人類創造未來的可能，那我們就會對未來失去希望，只能苦歎往日已逝。我相信，我們每個人都必須樹立自己的生活哲學。也有人以質疑一切為自己的生活哲學。他們說，世間沒有真理，所謂的仁慈不過是對自己自私自利的偽裝。他們認為，生活不過是痛苦出生與必然死去間的短暫瞬間。而其他人則認為，人性本惡，生命是歷盡苦難的淨化過程，而死亡則是一切苦難的解脫。還有人說，人就好比一台遵循一定規則運轉的機器，如果你瞭解其中的規則，掌控了操縱權，就能夠將他人掌控手中，讓他們為滿足你的意願而服務。
我認為，這些所謂的哲學皆是謬論。人生最重要的事情就是以何種方式生活，除了人的信仰與將信仰付諸行動之外，再沒有任何抽像的幸福、善良或美德，也沒有任何空泛的事物。唯有一個活著或僅僅存在著的人，親身體驗著生活中的每一刻，感受著快樂或悲傷、高尚或卑微、睿智或愚笨，或只是簡單的存在物。
豐富的哲學是支撐生命的力量之源，但問題是，如何才能將這種哲學充分應用到人生經歷的每一個瞬間呢？除非我們樂於奉獻，除非我們能夠與人們一起生活並幫助他們，否則我們的人生就失去了最重要的意義。慷慨與對人類行善力量的信心是人類天生的美德，這便是我人生哲學的基礎。如果人類能夠有機會發揮自己的力量，那麼這一人生哲學就能夠使人充滿活力，富有創新精神，對未來充滿信心。
世間有多少行路者，通往善良與智慧的途徑就有多少。世間有多少真理，就有多少探索、堅持真理的人。世間有多少信念與理想，就有多少仁人志士在生活中奉行並實現它們。
